Realistic Typer — Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2025
Thank you for using Realistic Typer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
Realistic Typer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The extension operates entirely within your browser and never sends information to any external server or third party.
The only data the extension stores is:
User preferences (typing speed, typo frequency, speed variation, natural pauses toggle, burst typing toggle) — saved locally in your browser using the chrome.storage.local API so that your settings are remembered between sessions.
This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to the developer or any third party.
Text you paste into the extension popup is used solely to simulate typing in the active browser tab. It is not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere. Once typing is complete (or stopped), the text exists only within the memory of the current browser session.
activeTab / scripting / <all_urls> — Required to inject simulated keystrokes into the currently focused input field on any page you choose. The extension does not read or record any page content.
storage — Used exclusively to save your typing preferences locally.
Realistic Typer does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No third-party code is loaded or executed by the extension.
If this Privacy Policy changes in a material way, the updated policy will be published at this location and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
