Christopher Girgenti (trumpet) is a Library Specialist at Winthrop University, where he works with electronic and continuing resources. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master of Library and Information Studies and Post-Baccalaureate Certificates in Music Theory and Ethnomusicology and received his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Wingate University.
Christopher has performed in many ensembles throughout his career, including concert and athletic bands. In the 2018-2019 basketball season, he was a member of the Buzz City Brass group that performed at Hornets home games. In addition to performing, Christopher has taught private lessons for trumpet and trombone.
Christopher is also a published composer through J.W. Pepper. Works published include a piano solo, a vocal solo with piano accompaniment, and a wind ensemble piece. The latter, entitled, At the Shrine, premiered in April 2015 during the Wingate University Wind Ensemble Concert.
