ReadTime for Gmail does not collect, store, or share any personal user data outside of the user’s browser.
All processing happens locally on the user’s device. The extension reads the content of Gmail emails only to calculate estimated reading time and display it within the Gmail interface.
If the user uses the “Read Later” feature, the extension stores the email subject, reading time, and email URL locally using Chrome storage. This data remains on the user’s device and is never transmitted externally.
The extension does not:
Send data to any external servers
Track user activity outside Gmail
Sell, transfer, or share any user data
Notifications are used only to provide a daily summary of saved emails and total reading time.
This extension operates entirely offline and does not require any account or login.
