Planning committee

Readfield United Methodist Church and Lafayette Lodge for hosting classes

What a joyful time of coming together as a community!

While we have had to cut things short this year we look forward to doing it again in 2021!

Please contact us any time with ideas for classes.

Readfield’s Age-Friendly Committee and Readfield Community Library, along with other interested people in the community, have joined forces to get this light-hearted “pop-up university” off the ground. All “classes” will be in Readfield at the Masonic Lodge, U.M. Church, Asa Gile Hall, Elementary School, or Community Library. It is a way for community members to connect with one another and to liven things up during the month of March when most of us are tired of winter.

Interested people from neighboring communities are welcome.

Each class indicates the age-group for which it is appropriate.

There are classes or get-togethers offered throughout the month on a variety of topics and two suppers are planned:

  • Maine’s Bicentennial Celebration Potluck, Saturday March 14 6:00 p.m. Bibby and Harold Alfond Dining Commons at Kents Hill School (Watch for signs for parking) CANCELLED

  • Readfield U Celebration Potluck Saturday March 28, 5:30 p.m. Maranacook High School Dining Room (Snow date: Sunday March 29, 5:30 p.m.)

Anyone is welcome to take part in the potlucks whether or not they participated in READFIELD U.
