Reachback Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
The short version: Reachback runs 100% on your phone. It has no internet permission, no account, and no servers. Nothing you see in the app ever leaves your device. We, the developers, never receive any of your data.
What Reachback reads. With your permission, Reachback reads your device notifications to find the people waiting on a reply from you. This happens entirely on your phone.
What it stores, and where. A short record of who is waiting (a name and a message snippet) is stored encrypted on your device only. It is never uploaded. Records are automatically deleted after 30 days, and you can erase everything instantly in Settings.
On-device AI drafting. On supported phones, Reachback can draft a reply using on-device AI built into your phone's operating system. The message text is processed on your device. Reachback holds no internet permission, so nothing is sent to us or any third party.
What we collect: nothing. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no accounts, no third-party data sharing. Because the app has no internet permission, it is technically incapable of transmitting your data.
Permissions. Notification access (to read notifications) and notification posting (for reminders). No internet permission.
Deleting your data. Use Delete all in Settings, or uninstall the app. Both remove everything immediately.
