How Does Your Identity Affect Your Work?
More than my identity that shapes my art, I think it's my art that shapes my identity. I still don't know how to answer the question: where are you from? As the Daughter of a Human Rights Activist from Myanmar and a Council of Europe Diplomat from The Netherlands, and having lived in France most of my life, with British nationality, I get confused and can't identify completely with one of my nationalities. All I know, is what makes me complete is combining my backgrounds as a means to create and communicate.
