Sophia Bautista (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate of UCLA. Her work was featured in Fresno State's "Flyes, Cockroaches, and Poets" as the undergraduate winner of the Andres Montoya poetry contest. Her work also appears in Heritage Magazine, Dizzy, The Sunday Jump, and Pacific Ties.

How Does Your Identity Affect Your Work?

I don't write "about" the Asian American experience, I am the Asian American experience. I am not hyper-conscious about how my personhood affects my art because they are one and the same.
