Jade Lacy (she/her/hers) is a second year English major and Asian American Studies minor at UCLA. She enjoys creative writing, poetry, comedy, and dance. She is a cool older sister to three beautiful cats.

How Does Your Identity Affect Your Work?

Though my identity is not always an explicit part of my work, it is always in the background shaping my art. The characters I portray, the way I express emotion, and the themes that I choose to tackle are all rooted in my experiences as an Asian American woman.
