Swisstour 2019 was the shortest edition of the tour with only 5 days to travel more than 1000 kms, Geneva to Lugano and back.

We started early morning in Geneva on July 19th and made our way to Lausanne to enjoy a quick breakfast by the lake, in Ouchy. From there, we crossed the first mountain pass of the trip at 1508 meters above sea level with the Jaunpass. We arrived by the Thunersee around noon and enjoyed a nice lunch before having a swim in the lake. The Sustenpass at 2224m and then the Gotthard-pass at 2106m were really fun to cross and the last steps before reaching Ticino and Lake Lugano later that evening.

We visited Ticino during the next few days, dove in freezing cold waters at Valle Verzasca, watched a fantastic sunset at Monte Brè, had a few beers at Lugano Marittima and took a day trip to Italy.

It was our first time visiting Ticino and Italy, we had a wonderful time and couldn't recommend visiting this region enough.

We liked it so much that we came back the next year to explore even more!
