Here is a sample of a crew’s power line data. The top half of the page shows two strokes. At the beginning of the stroke (the bottom, left-hand side of the mountain) you can see a little disruption as the rowers put the blades in the water. Similarly, at the end of the stroke (the bottom, right-hand side of the mountain) the is a pretty significant disruption as they remove their blades from the water. It’s important to row cleanly!!Â
The bottom half of the page show the speed of the boat. You can see that the boat is slowest right after the catch. It might surprise you to see that the boat is traveling the fastest half-way through the recovery!Â
