The Raman Conference on Light and Matter Physics will be held at the Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bengaluru, India, from 14th to 18th August, 2023. This conference is part of a series of conferences to mark the 75th year of the founding of RRI by Nobel Laureate Sir C V Raman.  

On this occasion, we take the opportunity to start a conference series in the frontier areas of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics with emphasis on cold dilute gas physics, quantum optics and information, quantum communication, trapped ions, metrology, and ultrafast intense laser physics, all of which are topics of active research and experiments at RRI.

The Venue

The Raman Research Institute was founded in 1948 by the Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate Sir C V Raman to continue his fundamental research post-retirement.

The institute is located in Sadashivanagar, in the heart of Bengaluru city. The institute provides lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, making it an ideal place for conducting research and an escape from bustling city life.
