RCL BR 295 HONOURS & AWARDS POLICY ON YEARS OF SERVICE PINS 30 June 2026

PURPOSE

This policy details how Branch 295 administers Years of Service Pins.

BACKGROUND

Branch 295 has traditionally recognized long-serving members through the presentation of Years of Service pins to demonstrate our appreciation for their loyalty and commitment outside of the formal honours and awards program. It is important to understand that pins at branch expense are not an entitlement

ELIGIBILITY

In accordance with the motion approved at the General Meeting of 15 February 2025, members with 15 or more years of service may apply for a pin at branch expense.  Pins are available in five-year increments.

• 5 and 10 year pins may be given to members from existing stock. When the stock is exhausted, the branch will not order additional 5 and 10 year pins at branch expense.

APPLICATION & PRESENTATION

Eligible members desiring pins may apply to the H&A member who will arrange for a suitable presentation venue.

COMMUNICATIONS

Guidance for members may be communicated by poster, newsletter, and social media.
