N.E.R.D - About Us
WHo ARE WE?
We are team N.E.R.D, located in NJ, USA. Our team consists of 4 members. Robotics is one of our favorite passions, and we all go to Storming Robots to learn programming, hardware and software. Last year team N.E.R.D, with the exception of Srujan, placed 1st in the US national competition and went to the international competition in Australia for RCJ line, placing 19th.
The team:
Andy
Andy Cheng is a 9th grader, is 15 years old, and goes to Bridgewater Raritain Highschool. His hobbies include robotics, programming, martial arts, volleyball, and rock climbing.
Peter
Peter Lin is a 9th grade, is 15 years old, and goes to Bridgewater Raritain Highschool. His hobbies include robotics, computer science, and tennis.
Dhruva
Dhruva Chakravarthi is in 8th grade and is 14 years old. He goes to Thomas Grover Middle School. His hobbies include robotics, computer science, music, gaming, and tennis.
Srujan
Srujan Kumar Damaraju is in 9th grade, goes to Pennsbury Highschool in PA and is 15 years old. His hobbies include robotics, computer science, programming and football.
The Future:
For the future, we plan to continue with RCJ competitions. We will either finish working on Rescue Line or jump into Rescue Maze, either simulation or live. Along with this, we also aim to have a Tech Talk on our 2020 Robocup Junior Rescue Line research and progress, explaining in depth our journey. In our presentation, we will go deep into our camera use and will also highlight other various programs and sensors we implemented.
