The River City High School Music Boosters is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (ID# 30-0702310) whose mission is to support the music students and teachers at River City High School, West Sacramento, CA. CONTACT US

Our work is supported through fundraising, grant writing, and volunteer coordination. The Music Boosters provides funding for the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Big Band, and Choir.

Our primary mission is fundraising. The money we raise pays for uniforms, supplies, transportation, festival entry fees, and supplemental instruction. A small portion goes towards our operating costs, to pay for things like storage, event permits and licensing, printing, etc. 100% of our funding comes from community members and businesses, parents, and our Music Booster fund raising activities which include performances, car washes, product sales, and direct donations.

Our secondary goal, which is equally important, is to coordinate parent involvement. Whether we are organizing a concert, hemming uniforms, cleaning the trailer, or making sandwiches for the kids to assure that every student is fed in between performances at a festival day, the River City High School Music Boosters creates pathways for parents, families and community members to be involved in the program.
