Rubén Campoy

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Alicante (2013), and Master in Mathematical Engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid (2015). After having worked for 7 months as a Pricing Analyst for a business company, I got a grant by the MINECO of Spain for new PhD training. In December 2018, I obtained my PhD in Mathematics by the University of Murcia. My thesis, supervised by Dr. Francisco J. Aragón Artacho, was entitled "Contributions to the Theory and Applications of Projection Algorithms". After my PhD, I got a one-year position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Then, I joined the University of Valencia as an Assistant Professor for 3 years.  I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Alicante.

Licenciado en Matemáticas por la Universidad de Alicante (2013), y Máster en Ingeniería Matemática por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2015). Tras 7 meses trabajando como Analista de Precios para una empresa privada, obtuve una beca del MINECO para la formación de doctores (antiguas FPI). En diciembre de 2018 obtuve el título de Doctor en Matemáticas por la Universidad de Murcia. Mi tesis, dirigida por Francisco J. Aragón Artacho, se titula "Contribuciones a la teoría y a las aplicaciones de los algoritmos de proyección". Tras doctorarme obtuve un contrato postdoctoral de un año de duración  en la Universidad de Massachusetts Lowell (Estados Unidos). A mi regreso, estuve tres años como Profesor Ayudante Doctor en la Universidad de Valencia. Actualmente trabajo, bajo la misma figura, en la Universidad de Alicante.
