Raymond Andersen was born in Rhodesia. He has enjoyed a diverse career as a diesel engineer, a bookkeeper, and an accountant. He currently resides in Queensland, Australia, with his wife, two children, and four grandchildren.

How it all started.

Sitting close to the Devil's Cataract at the Victoria Falls, my thoughts were on the amount of water flowing into the whirlpool down below.

The source of the river Nile was the topic of conversation at the time, and seeing tons of water gouging a large hole into the ground below could be making an underground lake. "Why not?" I thought.

At the same time, geophysical surveyors discovered an enormous underground lake at Nyamandhlovu which stretches to the Victoria Falls, one hundred miles away. Why is it not possible they could be joined with the whirlpool forming one enormous underground sea of water feeding the river Nile, I reasoned?
