This Privacy Policy describes how Gamepad: Ray BT Controller ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of our Wear OS application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy, and our application is designed from the ground up to operate completely offline without collecting or transmitting any personal information.
We believe in complete user privacy. Gamepad: Ray BT Controller does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, telemetry, or device identifiers.
No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, IP addresses, or unique hardware identifiers.
No Analytics or Tracking: We do not include third-party analytics frameworks (e.g., Firebase Analytics), crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries.
No External Servers: The App functions strictly as an on-device utility and does not communicate with external cloud databases, telemetry endpoints, or web servers.
To function as a wireless Bluetooth Gamepad and Controller, the App requests standard Android device permissions. These permissions are used solely on your local device to enable core app functionality:
Bluetooth Permissions (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE, BLUETOOTH_SCAN):
Used exclusively to register your Wear OS watch as a native Bluetooth Human Interface Device (HID), discover nearby paired devices, and transmit input controls (joystick motion, D-pad inputs, and button presses) directly to your connected target device (such as a PC, Smart TV, or tablet). Bluetooth scanning is explicitly flagged as neverForLocation in the app manifest and is never used to determine or infer physical location.
Location Permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION):
Only requested on legacy Android versions (Android 11 and lower) where the Android operating system historically bundled local Bluetooth discovery under location APIs. No location data is accessed, recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Local Settings Only: Application preferences (such as custom button mappings and sensitivity settings) are stored locally on your Wear OS watch using standard Android SharedPreferences / DataStore.
Zero Cloud Syncing: Settings remain solely on your local wearable hardware and are never uploaded to any remote server.
Data Removal: Uninstalling the App from your Wear OS watch permanently deletes all locally saved preferences.
Our App does not collect or solicit personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Gamepad: Ray BT Controller complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The App does not integrate any third-party software development kits (SDKs), advertising networks, tracking pixels, or external web plugins. All device communications take place peer-to-peer over local Bluetooth HID protocols.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage users to periodically review this policy.
