This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game روابط (Rawabit) ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is published on Google Play under the package name com.mashraf.rawabit.
We built Rawabit to be a simple, offline-first word puzzle. We do not run our own servers and we do not ask you to create an account or give us your name, email, phone number, or any other directly identifying information. The only data collection happens through well-known third-party SDKs (Google AdMob and Google Firebase) that power ads and help us keep the App stable — described in detail below.
The App has no login and collects no personal profile about you.
Your game progress, stats, and settings are stored on your device.
We show ads (Google AdMob) and use analytics and crash reporting (Google Firebase). These services may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and app-usage/diagnostic data.
In regions that require it (e.g. the EEA/UK), you'll see a consent screen the first time you open the App, where you can accept or decline personalized ads and related data use.
We do not sell your personal information.
None. The App has no sign-up, no accounts, and no free-text or profile fields. We do not collect your name, email address, or contacts.
The App saves your game progress, statistics, streaks, and preferences (theme, haptics, sound) locally on your device. This data stays on the device and is not transmitted to us. If you have Android's automatic backup enabled, the operating system may include this data in a backup to your own Google account; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
The App integrates the following Google SDKs, which may collect data directly:
a) Google AdMob (advertising) To display ads, AdMob may collect and process: the device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, coarse/derived location, device and network information, and ad-interaction data. Depending on your consent, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
b) Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics) To understand how the game is used (e.g. screens opened, puzzles started and completed, hints used, ads shown), Firebase Analytics may collect: app-usage events, a Firebase/Analytics instance identifier, the advertising ID, device and app information, and coarse location derived from IP address.
c) Firebase Crashlytics (stability) To diagnose and fix crashes, Crashlytics may collect: crash stack traces, the device state at the time of a crash, device model/OS version, and diagnostic identifiers.
We access this data only in aggregated or diagnostic form through the Google consoles; we do not receive a copy of it on our own infrastructure.
The data collected by the services above is used to:
show and measure advertising (and, with consent, personalize it);
understand usage trends and improve gameplay and content;
detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and bugs;
protect against fraud, abuse, and invalid ad traffic.
We do not use this data to build an advertising profile that we hold, and we do not sell it.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are:
Consent — for personalized advertising and any non-essential data collection. We request this through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form shown on first launch. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 6).
Legitimate interests — for limited, privacy-protective purposes such as crash reporting, security, and showing non-personalized ads to keep the App free.
We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed by our service providers, primarily Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and ad partners in the Google network). Their handling of data is governed by their own policies:
Google Privacy Policy — https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses information from sites/apps that use its services — https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Google AdMob — https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
Firebase Privacy & Security — https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or to prevent fraud.
Consent (EEA/UK and applicable US states): Change your choices via the in-app consent options where available, or by reinstalling the App to see the consent form again. (An in-app "Privacy options" button that re-opens the Google UMP form on demand can be added — ask if you'd like it wired in.)
Opt out of ad personalization / reset your advertising ID: On your device, go to Settings → Google → Ads (wording varies by device) to reset or delete your advertising ID and limit ad personalization.
Analytics: Uninstalling the App stops further collection. Google also offers controls described in its privacy policy.
Local data: Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App removes your locally stored progress and settings.
We do not sell your personal information, beyond the ad personalization that is controlled by your consent and device settings above. Residents of certain US states may have rights to access or delete personal information; contact us using Section 10.
Rawabit is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. The App is not enrolled in Google Play's "Designed for Families" program and may serve ads.
We do not retain personal data on our own systems. Data collected by Google services is retained according to Google's retention policies and the settings configured for the App's AdMob and Firebase projects. Locally stored game data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App.
Google processes data on infrastructure that may be located in countries other than yours, including the United States. These transfers are governed by Google's safeguards as described in its privacy policy.
We rely on the security measures of Google Play and the Google SDKs used by the App. Network communication used by ads and analytics is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the App or store listing. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
