I am a highly experienced writer, visual/creative producer, editor and marketer from the UTS School of Communications. My accolades span a decade-long communications career from editing my universityās student publication, Vertigo, creating digital assets for clients such as DocuSign, Salesforce and NSW Department of Planning & Environment, producing end-to-end creative photography projects and performance events, to most recently, creating communications material and stakeholder engagement strategies for Transport for NSW.
I am solution-oriented, incredibly adept at stakeholder engagement, able to easily adapt to different CMSes and skilled in self-learning (I've taught myself how to use programs like InDesign and Photoshop within a matter of days for corporate projects). Though the pen is my preferred medium of choice, I have a deep passion and experience for showcasing narratives through visual and audio mediums.Ā
As a writer, dancer and poet, I had been involved in Sydney, Australiaās arts scene for five years when I identified a market gap for South Asian focussed-events celebrating their unique cultural talents.
In November 2020, myself and my Red Dot Revolt co-founder came to the table with a suite of contacts each and began outreach.
In May 2021, we independently produced our first showcase, and raising over $1800 in donations for various charities, changing the face of Sydneyās South Asian creative scene.
From there, we've grew year on year, and continue to grow our brand offline as we expand globally. Across four sold out shows, we've raised over $5000 for various charities in Australia and internationally.Ā
Red Dot Revolt remains Australia's first and only non-profit South Asian creative showcase.
