ABOUT ME

I am Rasikh, a person whose name embodies strong determination, and that is precisely what defines me. With unwavering resolve and compassion, I believe that I can soar to great heights. My deep care for our Earth fuels my passion to push the boundaries of existing knowledge, all in pursuit of realizing my dreams.

Currently, I hold a position of Subject Professor at both Anahuac Mayab University and the Technological Institute of Merida. In this capacity, I impart courses across various engineering programs, encompassing mechatronics, energy, computer, and environmental engineering.

Over the course of my career, I have conducted three academic research stays, honing my expertise in cutting-edge laboratories. My first research stay took place at the Laboratory of Renewable Energies within the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Division of Applied Physics at the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada. Following that, I further expanded my knowledge at the Research Laboratory of Advanced Materials, located at the Faculty of Engineering, Autonomous University of Carmen. Lastly, I had the privilege of working with the esteemed Research Group AAAIMX (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence - Student Chapter at Mexico) within the Department of Systems and Computing at the Technological Institute of Merida. Prior to my academic endeavors, I served as a Lab Engineer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in HITEC University. Furthermore, I have gained valuable industrial experience in sectors such as oil and gas, air-conditioning, and airlines. Notably, I held the position of Executive Director at Grupo Nicte Flower.

To complement my practical experience, I hold a Doctorate and Masters in Engineering, specializing in Renewable Energy, from the Faculty of Engineering, Autonomous University of Yucatan. These degrees were fully sponsored by the government of Mexico. Previously, I possess a degree in mechanical engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology (previously known as Mohammad Ali Jinnah University), which I had revalidated against a license in mechatronics engineering in Mexico.

My contributions have been recognized by the Government of Mexico, particularly for promoting solidarity initiatives encompassing science, technology, humanity, and innovation amidst the COVID-19 contingency. Furthermore, I am honored to be acknowledged as a registered recognized researcher by the state of Yucatan, Mexico.

Within the realm of research, I have authored 35 impactful research articles and presented at over 60 conferences worldwide. I actively contribute as a reviewer for more than 20 esteemed journals. Notably, I received the prestigious Outstanding Reviewer of the Year award from the Journal of Energy Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as an outstanding contribution recognition from Elsevier Applied Energy.

My research focus encompasses sustainable and renewable energy, industry 4.0, optimization, machine learning, artificial intelligence applied to industrial processes, and life cycle analysis. By exploring these themes, I strive to make meaningful contributions to the scientific community and advance our collective understanding.
