Rank Tracker stores your projects and ranking results locally in your Chrome profile. The extension has no publisher-operated server, account system, analytics, or advertising.
To provide its ranking dashboard, the extension processes the project names, website addresses, keywords, subdomain preferences, request delays, and schedules you enter. It reads the Google results pages opened for your checks, including organic result titles, links, displayed website addresses, source labels and metadata, result order, pagination, and signals that a page needs attention.
It stores project settings, run progress, ranking results, the checked Google search-page URLs, timestamps, and up to 20 runs per project in Chrome local extension storage. When Google hides an exact destination behind a redirect, a result record can contain that Google link and its displayed website address or recognized platform/account source label. Some page content is processed temporarily to recognize results and interruptions; the extension does not maintain a general browsing history or log browsing clicks, mouse positions, scrolling or keystrokes.
For each keyword, a check opens the Google India homepage, places the keyword in its search field, and submits Google’s existing form. The extension uses normal All results and follows Google’s own next-page links, without adding country, language, personalization, or Web-view filters. Google receives the keyword in the search request, its form parameters, your IP address, and the normal browser/session information that accompanies visiting its service. Your Google cookie and account settings may apply. Google handles those requests under Google's Privacy Policy.
The extension does not send project databases or results to a publisher server. It does not sell data, share data for advertising, or use tracking or analytics services. It does not read unrelated website pages or automatically visit destination websites to resolve Google redirects. Opening a result link yourself may pass through Google and visit the destination website under those services' privacy practices.
Chrome storage is used to save your projects and results. Unlimited storage supports large locally saved keyword lists, subject to your device's capacity. Alarms maintain request pacing and optional weekly schedules. Scripting and optional access to the specified Google search and consent sites allow the extension to fill and submit the normal search form, inspect results in its search tab, and recognize when to pause. Site access can be revoked through Chrome's extension settings.
The extension does not request access to all websites, Chrome browsing history, passwords, payment information, or your Google account credentials. It does not use a publisher login or API key.
Projects remain until you delete them or remove the extension. Run history is limited to the latest 20 runs per project. Removing the extension clears its local Chrome storage. CSV and JSON files you export are ordinary files on your device and remain until you delete them separately. The extension does not automatically synchronize your projects to other Chrome profiles or devices.
CSV export saves ranking results and JSON backup saves application data to a local file at your request. Anyone you share those files with can read their contents. Importing a backup reads the selected file locally and adds restored projects with schedules switched off.
Extension data is held in Chrome's local profile storage and is not separately encrypted by the extension. Protect access to your device and exported files. Google search pages are loaded over HTTPS.
Data is used only to provide the ranking-checking features described above. It is not used for personalized advertising, creditworthiness decisions, or unrelated profiling.
If a future version changes data handling, this policy and the store disclosures must be updated before that version is distributed.
For privacy questions, use the publisher contact details on this extension's Chrome Web Store listing. For an unpacked copy, contact the person or organization that supplied it. The publisher should ensure that a working contact method accompanies each distribution.
