The video to the left is an example of the agro-forestry work that would be implemented with in the green infrastructure. The work has been done in Brazil and has been celebrated/validated by the UN as a best practice in combating climate change.
The approach is modified for Central Texas as we are in a climate of greater evaporation rates. While the Gotsch system relies heavily on manual labor for pruning, livestock are used instead to aid in the pruning of the vegetation, thus stimulating root growth and finally increased soil quality and stream flow.
