RAMYA BURRA

Biography

Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the Network Science Lab, at the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (DESE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since December 2015. I am a recipient of the Visweswaraya scholarship. My Ph.D. advisors are Dr. Chandramani Singh and Prof. Joy Kuri.

I work on applications of optimization and game theory, and problems involving stochastic control. I use techniques and results from Markov Decision Process literature to solve resource allocation problems. Currently, I am also working on Restless Multi-arm Bandits, Whittle's Index, Applications of Partially observable MDP (POMDP).

Before joining IISc, I worked with TCS from Jan 2013 - April 2014. I completed my B.Tech in ECE from Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women in 2012 with 86%. I was an intern at Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab, Bangalore during 2011-2012.
