Rami Cohen

I am a PhD student (last stages, passed my PhD exam on August 2017) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Yuval Cassuto, working on the design and analysis of error-correcting codes for high-speed memory devices and systems, for improved reliability and performance. Here is my PhD seminar presentation. I am currently (summer 2017) a researcher (as an intern) at the National Research and Simulation Center.

My research interests are:

· Error-correcting codes (new channel models, non-binary LDPC codes, efficient decoding algorithms)

· Algorithms for the optimization of memory/storage devices with shared resources (e.g., cloud)

· Machine learning (including deep learning)

· Speech/image processing

· Image/video compression (e.g., H.264/H.265) and computer vision
