Description:

Before the game begins, all players put one hand on the wall of the gaga pit. The game begins when a player throws the ball into the middle of the gaga pit. While the ball is bouncing, everyone says “Ga-Ga-Ball” as the ball hits the ground. On the third bounce, the game begins.

A player is eliminated once the ball hits their knees or below. Players should block their legs using their hands and arms to avoid being eliminated. Once eliminated the player should exit through the gate of the gaga pit. The goal of the game is to eliminate all of the other players and be the last player left in the gaga pit. 

Rules:

• The players cannot remove their hands from the wall before the third bounce

• The gaga ball can only be hit/pushed by the players hands

• If the gaga ball is hit outside of the gaga pit, the player who touched it last is out. The game restarts with the remaining non-eliminated players (three bounces, “Ga-Ga-Ball”).

• Players cannot leave the gaga pit while playing

• Players cannot jump over the walls once eliminated

• Players cannot sit on their legs (preventing them from being eliminated)

Additional Rules

• “Double Touches” - Players can only touch the ball once. This resets when another player touches the ball or the ball hits the wall

• Redemption Gaga -  A player can join back in the game if the player that eliminated them gets eliminated

Supervision Tips:

• Make sure at least 1 Counselor is supervising the game and judging whether the players are eliminated or not.

• At least 1 other Counselor should be supervising the players who are eliminated

• Don’t allow players to sit on or jump over the walls of the gaga pit.

• If the ball goes into an area that is hard to reach (under a bunk, in the woods, etc.), a counselor should get the ball.
