The song and the music video both have received critical acclaim, with critics praising the composition and lyrics, Trivedi vocals, Deva's choreography and Chopra's performance. Commercially, the song topped several charts across India and became one of the most popular songs of the year. The song has also received considerable attention for Chopra's styling and costume.

"Ram Chahe Leela" is an introductory song of the two protagonists -Ram and Leela, hinting at the dynamics of their relation in the film. The vocals for the song are given by 'Indian Idol' fame Bhoomi Trivedi, while the lyrics are written by Siddharth-Garima. The song is choreographed by Vishnudeva.[2]

Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra for an item number in his film at the same time. Media reported that Rai was offered a song named "Thappad Se Dar Nahi Lagta, Pyaar Se Dar Lagtaa Hai", which was meant to be her comeback to films after a long hiatus. However, Rai did not approve the lyrics of the song which were similar to a dialogue of Salman Khan's 2010 film Dabangg. Rai asked Bhansali to change the lyrics. However, Bhansali offered Chopra a song with the changed lyrics, which she accepted. Deccan Chronicle published "Bhansali is known to approach more than one actor for any project. While he discussed the song with Aishwarya, Priyanka was also kept in the loop and was offered a song in the film for the same situation. However, the reasons of Chopra being given a different remained unknown."[3]

The production cost of the song was reported to be Rs 6 crore. The costume was designed by Anju Modi, who also did the costumes for the film. For filming the song over 2,500 candles were lit on the set.[4]

"The Government of Canada issued [94 calls to action] through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and one of those was about the arts," Gilday said. "And so it's nice to see crown corporations responding to those calls to action by spreading the word about the importance of Indigenous languages and making the effort to include an Indigenous language song in the CBC Canadian Music Class Challenge, where thousands of kids will hear it."

Leela's talents are undeniable amongst her peers in the industry, and her music continues to resonate with core fans today. This songbird has earned countless spots on the Billboard charts, including No. 1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Charts and in 2021, the No. 8 Billboard Urban Adult Song of the Year for the hit single "Complicated." Leela's classic albums have also earned her the Soul Train "Centric Soul Award" and nominations for "Outstanding New Artist" and "Best R&B Collaboration" at the NAACP Image Awards (2008), "Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist" at the Soul Train Music Awards (2008) and scoring her first award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her 2014 classic wedding song, "Fall for You," now certified Gold, selling more than 500,000 equivalent units.

Same here, I loved all of the songs in bajirao mastaani so much, noticed today that they removed the playlist and hit songs. I am disappointed, those songs made me appreciate the culture of India every single time. I hope spotify resolves the issue. The songs are a gem in the history of bollywood.

As @MattSuda said, the songs you don't see on your end have a strict relation to licensing agreements. This depends of the artist or the right holders of said content to have it available or not. On our end, we'll be working in order to get more and more content to the platform (if an agreement is reached with said right holders).

What the **bleep**? I don't care if a song gets greyed-out from Spotify due to being unavailable. However, this song completely DISAPPEARED from my Liked songs list!!! That is so extremely not cool. Now I feel like I have to ditch Spotify since I can't trust it to keep a list of songs I like - a simple yet important task. Spotify has erased it from existence like people were erased from Soviet photos. Come on, Spotify, this is **bleep**.

The song starts exactly when the movie ends, that is the death of Ram and Leela. It starts with the temple bells ringing. Listen carefully and you would realize that this is a prayer for the departed couple. The flute is sweet yet has a very melancholic tone. The chorus then starts singing-

The song then ends with the same prayerful effect that is created by the bells. However, there is also Shehnai that signifies the melancholy, grief, and disappointment in them. It is also the Shehnai that they play in marriage to pay for their deeds and compensate in some manner for the departed couple. The Shehnai becomes their tribute, submission, and apology of all the troubles that they have caused to the loving couple.

Thus, this beautiful song encompasses several things at once. Be it the character arc of Ram or the message that the movies stands for. Everything layered in just one song. So subtle, so powerful, and yet so soothing. That is what is the magic of Bhansali. That is the magic of Bollywood, and that is the magic of film-making.

This by far has been the most accurate, apt and brief description of song one has understood. I like the little nuances that you added from your own imagination. The description is polite yet raw. This is inspired writing. Well done sir.

A commitment to love each other eternally is affirmed in this song too, but between Vanraj and Nandini. The act of applying vermilion on the parting of the hair, a common feature in all the other songs, shows up here too. 006ab0faaa
