I am doctoral student in the Department of Earth Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-Kanpur). I joined IIT Kanpur in Summer 2022 as a CSIR-JRF Fellow. Later In 2023, I received the prestigious Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) in cycle 11 and become PMRF Fellow.
I have been doing my research work in the Experimental Rock Deformation Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Santanu Misra. My current research work is focused on the investigation of frictional properties, permeability, and behavior of active faults in the north-western region of the Indian Himalayas.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I did my BS-MS Dual degree majoring in Geological Sciences at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata). At IISER Kolkata, I did my Masters thesis under the guidance of Dr. Kathakali Bhattacharyya in the Department of Earth Science.
