The RAISE Program, through Project 1 – Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) and Project 2 – Agribusiness Hub (ABH), conducted the Technology/IP Commercialization Plan Coordination Meeting on March 25, 2025, at the Navigatu Center, Caraga State University. The activity aimed to accelerate the commercialization of regional agri-aqua technologies by refining strategies for market readiness and identifying potential adopters.
The meeting brought together project members from the RAISE Program, including representatives from Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) and Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT). Despite varying schedules, participants actively engaged throughout the sessions.
The event began with a welcome message from Mr. Genesis Jared Cutamora, Project Leader of RAISE Project 2 – Agribusiness Hub, followed by an overview of endorsed technologies presented by Mr. Jesril Mark Peñaloza. These technologies were evaluated through a technology appraisal, assessing their readiness and commercialization potential.
Prof. Kenneth L. Ciudad, RAISE Program Leader, validated the results and discussed various commercialization pathways, guiding participants on determining the most appropriate strategy for each technology.
In the afternoon session, Ms. Lyka Labiano of Project 1 – IPTBM facilitated the review of communication plan outputs, followed by Mr. Marvin Campana of Project 4 – Knowledge Management Hub, who discussed the commercialization plan template. Prof. Ciudad further elaborated on the process, ensuring alignment with the overall RAISE commercialization framework.
Participants later presented their outputs for feedback and refinement. The activity concluded with closing remarks from Prof. Ciudad, emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement in implementing the developed plans.
Through this coordination meeting, each consortium member institution developed a comprehensive commercialization plan for their prioritized technologies, subject to further refinement and validation. The outputs highlighted top technologies from CSU, NEMSU, ASSCAT, and CSU Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) identified as having high market potential.
Overall, participants commended the workshop for its clarity and relevance, though suggestions were raised for improved time management in future sessions.
The Technology/IP Commercialization Plan Coordination Meeting successfully equipped participants with practical knowledge and collaborative strategies to strengthen technology transfer, stakeholder engagement, and commercialization success within the RAISE Program in Caraga.
