Tickets are now on sale for the Lincoln Park Theatre production of The Addams Family musical! See Mr. Kopp in Room 643 to purchase advance tickets for $10.00. Performances are March 15 & 16, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the Lincoln Park High School Auditorium. Plot: In its typical creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky fashion, the ghoulish Addams family visits the graveyard for an annual gathering of all family members, living dead, and undecided, to celebrate what it is to be an Addams. However, the family encounters an unforeseen obstacle when Wednesday decides to introduce her new “normal” boyfriend Lucas to the family. In protest, Uncle Fester enlists the help of the Addams’ ancestors to call an end to the young budding romance. As Wednesday admits that she is falling in love, Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley worry about her changing ways. As the families of Wednesday and Lucas come together for dinner one fateful evening, chaos ensues and the two families find themselves admitting deep secrets and coming together in ways they never would have imagined. The Addams Family musical tells the story of love and friendship through adversity, with a comical and macabre yet poignant spin.
DECA students: You have a mandatory parent meeting for states on Wednesday at 6 PM in the media center.

Do you know that the Ugly Christmas sweater wasn't intended to be ugly initially? It was marketed as a beautiful artistic piece of wearable art in the 1950s. Since that time it gained popularity in the 1980s, declined in the '90s, and was resurrected by two Canadians in the 2010s with the idea of an "ugly Christmas sweater party". The idea caught on and now we have the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" trend each year. Stop by the hall outside The Crossing - Room 215 to see the beautiful (or not) sweaters that the Marketing Department has designed with a company in mind. We will add more each day!
The door decorating contest is active and running now. The guidelines and information can be found here. *It is two pages so click the arrow to view the second page, please. Doors must be decorated before end of the day on Dec 15 and will be judged on December 18. The winning 4th hour will receive a pizza party on December 22.
DECA students: There is an important meeting TODAY, Wednesday, after school in the media center. It will be short.
The Varsity Girls Bowling Team won their first league meet of the season with a 23-7 victory over Trenton. Desire Brown led the team with two wins bowling a 178 in her second game, while Braiana Peters, Shelby King, Alina Lovins, and Zanari Stinson each added a win. Great start to the season! GO RAILS!
For anyone interested in Unified Bowling, they are still looking for partners. If you need more information you can contact jocelyn.reese@lpps.info
