Notes: Named "New Orange." Northern Central Railroad was already under the control of the Pennsylvania Railroad by the time that No. 1 came into the possession of the NY&NO in July 1899. No Northern Central or PRR roster documents indicate a locomotive "322" that fits NY&NO No. 1's description. Photographs of No. 1 at Roselle show it wearing the number "322" on its headlight and number plate on its smokebox door.
