At a hotel in Trenton, this committee was founded with the purpose of establishing such activities that would bring light, sunshine, and happiness into the lives and hearts of the afflicted.

Each year, our lodge host many different events for our Special Children. We send students to Camp Moore, host a Christmas Party, and hold fundraisers!

The East Central District Special Children's committee holds a charity ball each year to support our ambassador and alternate ambassador. Raising money to support renovations and enhancements to our East Central District counselor cabin in Camp Moore is one of our committees' largest priorities.

Friendship Day at the Turtle Back Zoo is an annual event that takes place in October. Students from the East Central and North Central Districts are invited, free of charge, to attend the zoo, have lunch, and enjoy entertainment such as face painting.

Our lodge is currently sponsoring the Area 4 Alternate Ambassador, Liam Donovan. He is a 10-year-old boy with Wolf Hirshorn syndrome. Liam and his family have been active in our lodge events and we all enjoy seeing Liam having fun! We look forward to him being the Area 4 poster child next year and his visit to Wildwood!
