In session, we co-create a healing medium for your raw, embodied self. Together we integrate intention and bodywork with a choice in modalities to holistically support your body & soul. Rah’s interest in Somatics and the body’s inherent capacity to heal led them to the National Holistic Institute in San Jose, CA. As a CAMTC certified Massage Therapist and Health Educator, Rah brings over 800 hrs of training to sessions, as well as diverse continuing education and experience working with the general public by way of clinics, spas, and private practice.
While integrating a multiplicity of rejuvenating, therapeutic techniques with a mindful approach to care, Rah tailors sessions to meet clients’ needs and requests. Rah’s thoughtful approach to massage therapy seeks to honor your relationship to touch, however familiar or new to massage therapy you are. Just as nerves innervate parts of the body, massage enlivens the whole being, drawing us closer in alignment with our felt sense. Swedish - primarily involves gentle, gliding strokes to increase blood flow. Characteristically relaxes and energizes the body to relieve tension from uppermost muscle layers
Shiatsu - Japanese “finger pressure” point work is a style of massage based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and modified for the massage table to relieve tension/pain in the body as well as balance one’s chi (energy)
