Teaching Philosophy
Why do I become a Teacher?
I never saw teaching as a career option but it is a lifestyle I chose for myself way back in my school days. My late father was a college Professor and four out of my five sisters are in academia. Now that I think of it- the way I gravitated towards teaching, it almost feels as if my genes of teaching chose me rather than I chose to become a teacher. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to read at one of the best educational institutions where I had the opportunity to learn from the best. I got in touch with such amazing teachers who not only knew “what” to teach but also were masters at the art of “how” to teach. I got to see further than others because I stood on the shoulder of giants. The thrills of sharing my thoughts with young minds, the very chemistry of the teacher-student relationship are so intriguing that I could not resist myself from aspiring to be a giant.
I was, am and always will be ready to make all the trade-offs as long as I can teach the way I want to. Teaching is a thing I could do with all my soul, with heart and with joy!
