I am Rafael, a theoretical physicist working at the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory at the Department of Mathematical Sciences in University of Copenhagen. My supervisor is Daniel Stilck França.
My interests are on questions which lie in the foundations of quantum information/computing theory, which sometimes intersects with other areas of theoretical and mathematical physics. I like to work on topics which mathematical thinking can give us better physical understanding!
Some of the stuff I have been working on:
The intersection between quantum error correction and the theory of quantum phases of matter;
Quantum verification of magic ✨;
Quantum complexity of quantum field theories and holography;
Applications of learning theory to physics;
The intersection of non-commutative polynomial optimization and quantum information/computing.
