Cardiac CT (CCT)

This syllabus integrates theory and practical applications of Cardiac CT and covers the relevant application of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology in cardiac CT. The physics of CT and radiation generation and exposure will be included. Trainee should be able to perform, monitor the study acquisition and post processing of the data. Cardiac CT training curriculum/topics:

· Radiation safety

· Physics, ECG gating and multi detector CT

· Indication, patient selection and preparation

· Image acquisition and scan protocols

· Post processing and quantification

· Cardiac anatomy and terminology

· Coronary calcification and calcium score

· Coronary artery disease

· Non-coronary heart disease

· CT angiogram (CTA) in congenital heart disease

· Aorta and vascular disease.

· Cardiac masses

· Extracardiac disease

· Transcutaneous Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), cardiovascular stents and devices
