Welcome!

I'm Radha, and this website details my experience at COSMOS UC Davis 2019.

Exploratorium, San Francisco

About Cluster 5:

Cluster 5: Computers in Biophysics and Robotics covered a wide variety of topics including multiple computer programming languages, using computers to simulate molecular activity in cells, probability, and programming robots. We visited places such as Intel and San Francisco's Exploratorium to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts we learned.

Computational Biophysics:

The computational biophysics portion explored using programming to create graphs, to calculate probability, and to simulate the activity of biological molecules. For my final project, I created a program that would act as DNA polymerase and attempt to locate the origin of replication on a randomly generated strand of DNA.

Robotics:

In the robotics portion, I learned how to use RobotC to program Lego Mindstorms robots. In addition, I learned introductory logic and boolean theory. For my final project, I created a robot that played the electronic memory game 'Simon' using motors and color sensors.

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve my goals over my month at COSMOS UC Davis. Thanks to my professors, Dr. Dad-del, Dr. Singh, and Dr. Cone. Thanks to the teaching assistants, Jerry, Michael, and Eli. Thanks to the teaching intern, Jason.

Thank you for being so supportive and helpful!
