Dr. Raafat Aburukba

Dr. Raafat Aburukba is currently an associate professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), UAE. He is also an adjunct research professor at Western University, London Ontario, Canada. Before joining AUS, he was a faculty at Penn State University (Erie PA) at the department of computer science and software engineering. He has over 10 years of working experience in the industry within the software engineering and technology. 

Dr. Raafat's research interests are on various topics in cloud computing, business intelligence for healthcare, cooperation and coordination in distributed systems, economic-based models and approaches for decentralized scheduling and applied to cloud computing, IoT, and smart spaces.
