BADANIA

Ks. Ryszard Sadowski w badaniach podejmuje filozoficzną refleksję nad kryzysem środowiskowym i  zrównoważonym rozwojem, jego zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na roli religii w sprawstwie oraz przezwyciężaniu kryzysu ekologicznego.  Jest członkiem International Association for Environmental Philosophy; The International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture;  European Forum for the Study of Religion and the Environment;  Forum on Religion and Ecology,  and Global Catholic Climate Movement.  Jest autorem kilkudziesięciu publikacji naukowych. 

RESEARCH

Assoc. Prof. Ryszard Sadowski focuses his research on anthropological and ecophilosophical studies of the ecological crisis, particularly emphasizing the role of various religious traditions (especially Christianity) in causing and preventing this crisis. His main research areas relate to sustainable development, biocultural diversity, cultural ecology, and environmental history. In his scientific investigations, he also introduced a new research trend called “religion and ecology” in Poland, initiated by Prof. Mary E. Tucker and Prof. John A. Grim in the mid-1990s in the US.

ZATRUDNIENIE 

Ks. prof. Ryszard Sadowski jest od roku 2004 zatrudniony na Wydziale Filozofii Chrześcijańskiej (WFCh) w Uniwersytecie Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie. Jest członkiem zespołu badawczego Centrum Ekologii i Ekofilozofii (dawnej Instytut Ekologii i Ekofilozofii) UKSW. 

• Od 1 stycznia 2020  - kierownik Katedry Ekofilozofii w Instytucie Filozofii  UKSW

• Od 1 września 2020 do 1 września 2024  - dyrektor Instytutu Filozofii UKSW

• Od 6 lutego 2022  - redaktor naczelnym czasopisma "Studia Ecologiae et Bioethicae"

• Od 10 marca 2022 - przewodniczący Zespołu wsparcia czasopism UKSW

• Od 1 września 2024 - prorektor UKSW ds. nauki i współpracy międzynarodowej

PLACE  OF  EMPLOYMENT 

Since 2004, Prof. Ryszard F. Sadowski has been employed at the Faculty of Christian Philosophy (WFCh) at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW). He is a member of the research team of the Center for Ecology and Ecophilosophy (former Institute of Ecology and Ecophilosophy) UKSW. 

• Since January 1, 2020 - Chair of the Ecophilosophy Department at UKSW

• Since September 1, 2020, till September 1, 2024 - Director of the Institute of Philosophy  at UKSW

• Since February 6, 2022 - Editor-in-Chief of "Studia Ecologiae et Bioethicae" published at UKSW

• Since March 10, 2022 - Chairman of the Support Team for Scientific Journals at UKSW 

• Since September 1, 2024 - Vice-President of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw

HABILITACJA

Stopień naukowy doktora habilitowanego z dziedziny nauk humanistycznych z dyscypliny filozofia uzyskany w dniu 9.07.2015 r. decyzją Rady Wydziału Filozofii Chrześcijańskiej Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie na podstawie monografii: Filozoficzny spór o rolę chrześcijaństwa w kwestii ekologicznej, Warszawa: TNFS 2015.

POSTDOCTORAL  DEGREE

Habilitation in the humanities, the discipline of philosophy, was obtained on July 7, 2015, by the decision of the Council of the Faculty of Christian Philosophy of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW). 

DOKTORAT

Stopień naukowy doktora z dziedziny nauk humanistycznych z dyscypliny filozofia uzyskany w dniu 1.04.2004 r. decyzją Rady Wydziału Filozofii Chrześcijańskiej Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie na podstawie rozprawy: Stanowisko Hansa Jonasa wobec problemu psychofizycznego (promotor ks. dr hab. Zbigniew Łepko; recenzenci: ks. prof. UKSW dr hab. Ryszard Moń; prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Szubka).

PhD  DEGREE

Doctor’s degree in the humanities, the discipline of philosophy, obtained on April 4, 2004, by the decision of the Council of the Faculty of Christian Philosophy of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.

MAGISTERIUM 

Tytuł zawodowy magistra z dziedziny nauk teologicznych z dyscypliny teologia uzyskany w dniu 24.03.1994 r. na Wydziale Teologicznym Akademii Teologii Katolickiej w Warszawie. 

MASTER'S  DEGREE

On March 24, 1994, he obtained a master’s degree in theological sciences at the Faculty of Theology of the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw.

STUDIA

• 1985-1994 - studia filozoficzno-teologiczne w Wyższym Seminarium Duchownym Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego w Lądzie n. Wartą i na Wydziale Teologicznym Akademii Teologii Katolickiej w Warszawie.

• 1995-1999 – uzupełniające filozoficzne studia magisterskie na Wydziale Filozofii Chrześcijańskiej Akademii Teologii Katolickiej w Warszawie.

• 2000-2001 – studia w Dominican University w River Forest, IL w USA.
