Welcome to MATH 5261 — Algebraic Geometry II, offered in Spring 2026 at HKUST! This course is the continuation of MATH 5251.
This graduate course is the second in a series on algebraic geometry, focusing on using cohomological tools to study algebraic geometry. While we will generally follow the structure of Chapter III of Hartshorne’s book, our presentations and proofs will incorporate modern perspectives and techniques where appropriate.
