QX Files Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Developer CoderZawy is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data while using the QX Files application. This Privacy Policy explains the types of permissions and data handled by the application, how they are processed, and why we do not collect or share any of your personal information or files.
By using the QX Files app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. User Files & Storage Data Security
Since QX Files is a utility app for file management and media playback, we enforce strict compliance with the following privacy principles:
Strictly Local Processing: All core file operations (including browsing, copying, moving, deleting, renaming, compressing/decompressing, playing audio/video, and viewing PDF/HTML files) are processed entirely locally on your physical device.
No Data Transmission: The application does not transmit, upload, or share any of your personal files, folder directories, media contents, or documents with external servers or third parties. Your personal storage remains completely private and under your absolute control.
Local Web Share Feature:
Local & Secure Transfer: The Web Share feature operates entirely within your local network (Wi-Fi). The application creates a temporary, local HTTP server on your device to allow other devices on the same network (that possess the generated link) to access the files you choose to share.
No Internet or External Servers Used: No files or data are transmitted outside your local network to the internet, and no cloud or external servers are involved. The transfer is strictly peer-to-peer (P2P).
Under Your Complete Control: This feature is entirely optional and only runs when manually activated by you. You can stop it instantly at any time with a single tap.
2. Required Permissions
To deliver file management and media features properly, the app requests access to certain device features with your permission:
Storage & Shared Files Access: Required to perform core file management tasks such as browsing, organizing, and managing files on your device's internal and external storage (SD card).
Media & Photos Access: Required to stream, display, and play images, videos, and music files stored on your device via built-in players.
Package & APK Installation: Enables you to manually install Android Application Packages (APKs) managed through the file manager interface.
Background Media Playback: Ensures uninterrupted background audio and music playback when the app is minimized or the screen is locked.
Set Wallpaper: Enables you to set any viewed image as your device's wallpaper directly from within the app.
Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to display active background audio controls or show the status and URL of the local Web Share server. These notifications are strictly operational and local, and are never used for promotional or advertising purposes.
Internet Connection: Required strictly to fetch advertisements and securely process in-app purchases.
3. Third-Party Services (Ads & Payments)
The app integrates trusted Google third-party SDKs to display ads and handle payments. These services may collect certain non-personal data according to their own privacy policies:
Google Play Services: Required to ensure core application functionality and compatibility with the Android OS.
Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements within the application. AdMob may collect non-personal device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. You can disable personalized ads in your device's system settings.
Google Play Billing: Used to securely process in-app purchases (e.g., upgrading to remove ads). All payment transactions are handled securely by Google. The developer has no access to your credit card or payment information.
4. Local Preferences (User Settings)
The app uses secure local storage (DataStore) to save user settings and preferences (such as light/dark mode). This data is stored strictly on your device and is never shared or uploaded.
5. Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app we collect technical, non-personal data (through third-party products) called Log Data. This may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the time and date of the error, and other statistics to help us debug and improve application stability.
6. Cookies
This Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, integrated third-party libraries (such as ad networks) may use cookies to collect anonymous statistics and improve their services.
7. Data Security
We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your data and granted permissions. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
QX Files is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. In the event we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
