February 2021

I am happy to announce that I succeed to win the prestigious grant from the European Commission (Marie Curie Individual Fellowship) with a score of 94,6/100. In brief, the project is to develop a coupled (soil mechanics - fluid mechanics - solid mechanics) computational model being able to simulate the entire process of a submarine slide event (earthquake-induced slide and landslide-induced tsunami) and interactions with offshore structures. I am excited to start this project and update in detail soon!

August 2020

I am excited to move to Trondheim, Norway to start my Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. I was actually appointed directly to work on the MPM modelling of submarine landslides. We are going to submit a proposal (Marie Curie Individual Fellowship) in September on the proposed topic. I am also looking forward to collaborating with experts here.

May 2020

My paper "Temporal and null‐space filter for the material point method" was recognized as one of the most read and top downloads in the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering in 2018-2019 even though we published the paper at the late of 2019 (November).

5 January 2020

I travel to Vietnam and luckily I met Daniel Dias and his family during his vacation here. Daniel is always funny and supportive and I was so lucky to have him as my supervisor during my study in Grenoble Alpes University. I also have a chance to meet other researchers through his network.

29 November 2019

I successfully defend my dissertation "Material Point Method: algorithmic development and applications to landslide modeling". The opponent is Prof. Michele Hicks from Delft University of Technology. The PhD degree is just a beginning!
