QuiltMath ("we", "our", "the App") is an offline-first quilting calculator

for fabric, backing, batting, yardage, blocks, and cutting. This policy

explains what data the App handles, what we do not handle, and where

third-party services are involved.

The short version: your measurements, projects, stash, and journal live on

your device. We do not run a backend for syncing your work, do not maintain

an account system, and do not sell your data. The only third parties that

may process limited information are Google (AdMob advertising on the free

tier) and Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase (optional one-time

Pro).

We do not collect first-party analytics, do not use third-party crash

reporting SDKs, do not maintain user accounts, and do not transmit your

quilt data to our own servers.

2. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

When you use the App, you may enter the following into local storage. None

of this is transmitted to us.

- Calculator inputs — quilt sizes, block sizes, seam allowance, fabric

width, quantities, and similar numbers you type

- Saved projects — named calculations and notes you choose to keep

- Fabric stash and project journal (Pro) — fabric names, amounts, colors

or swatches you enter, and journal text

- Settings — language, units, rounding, shrinkage/selvage allowances,

appearance

This information is stored in the App's private sandbox on your device

(SharedPreferences and related local files). We do not have remote access

to it.

3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

The App contains no first-party analytics or telemetry SDKs. Automatic

network activity is limited to ads (free tier) and store purchase

verification.

3.1 Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

On the free tier, the App may show a banner ad. Ad serving is handled by

the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google, as the processor for ad delivery, may

collect:

- Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / Apple advertising identifiers;

reset or limited via system settings)

- Device information — model, manufacturer, OS version, screen size,

locale, time zone

- IP address, used for approximate geo-targeting and fraud prevention

- Ad interaction events — impressions, clicks, and related events

- Crash and diagnostics data from the SDK itself

Buying Pro removes ads. Ad personalization may be on by default. You can

opt out at any time via your device settings (for example, Android:

Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS: Settings →

Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising / Tracking, depending on OS

version). When opted out, Google may still serve non-personalized ads.

Google's processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy

(https://policies.google.com/privacy) and AdMob disclosures

(https://support.google.com/admob/answer/10113003).

3.2 Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchase

The optional one-time "QuiltMath Pro" upgrade is processed by Google Play

Billing on Android or Apple In-App Purchase on iOS. We do not see your

card number, full billing address, or financial account details. We

receive only a non-personal purchase receipt (product ID, purchase state,

and related store tokens) so that Pro features can be unlocked on this

device. Restore Purchases re-reads that receipt from the store.

4. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

For clarity, the App does NOT include:

- Analytics SDKs (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, AppsFlyer,

Adjust, etc.)

- Crash reporting SDKs (Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag, etc.)

- Account creation or login

- Server-side sync of your projects or stash

- Camera, photo library, contacts, or location permissions

- Push notifications from a remote server

If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy and note

the change in the App's release notes.

5. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Because we do not receive most of the information you enter, our use of

data is limited to:

- Operating the App on your device — reading and writing local storage to

show calculators, projects, stash, and settings

- Unlocking Pro features — verifying your one-time purchase through

Google Play or the App Store

- Serving ads — through Google AdMob on the free tier, governed by

Google's policies and your advertising choices

We do not sell your quilt content, do not build sellable profiles from your

measurements, and do not enrich your local records with brokered

third-party data.

6. LOCAL STORAGE, EXPORT, AND SHARE

The App stores records locally. Export is manual:

- PDF or image exports are produced on your device

- They are not automatically uploaded to us

- When you share a file (email, cloud drive, messaging, etc.), it travels

through the app or service you select; we do not see or store those

copies

Deleting the App removes local data in the App's private storage. Files you

saved outside that area (Downloads, Photos, cloud drives) must be deleted

separately.

7. PERMISSIONS

- Internet / network state — ads (free tier) and purchase verification

- Package visibility for sharing (Android 11+) — so the system share

sheet can offer apps that can receive a PDF or image you export

The App does not request camera, photos, microphone, contacts, calendar, or

location permission.

8. CHILDREN

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 and is not intended

for use in the Google Play Designed for Families program. We do not

knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent

or guardian and believe your child has entered information into the App,

uninstalling the App removes that data from the device's private App

storage.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

The App itself does not transfer your quilt data across borders because we

do not receive it. However:

- AdMob may process advertising data in countries where Google operates

- Google Play Billing and Apple IAP process purchase data per their

regional practices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or

Switzerland, those providers rely on their own transfer mechanisms (such as

standard contractual clauses) as described in their policies.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Because most of your data lives on your device, you can exercise most

rights directly:

- Access — open the App to view your projects, stash, and settings

- Export — use in-App PDF or image export where available

- Correction — edit any record in the App

- Deletion — delete records in the App, or uninstall the App to remove

local private data

For data held by Google or Apple (advertising signals and purchase

history), use your Google or Apple account controls and device advertising

settings.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional statutory

rights. Because we do not receive quilt personal data from the App, most of

those rights are exercised on device for local data, and through Google or

Apple for ad and purchase data. For other requests, contact us using the

details in Section 13.

11. DATA RETENTION

- Local projects, stash, journal, and settings — retained until you

delete them or uninstall the App

- Exported PDF or images — retained only as long as you keep the files;

we do not retain copies

- Advertising data — retained by Google per https://policies.google.com/privacy

- Purchase receipts — retained on device as needed to verify Pro status,

and by Google or Apple per their retention practices

12. SECURITY

The App uses the platform private storage sandbox. Network traffic is

limited to:

- Ad requests to Google AdMob (free tier)

- Billing verification with Google Play or Apple

Protect your device with a screen lock and keep your OS up to date. No

method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the

security of data handled by third parties outside our control.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the App evolves or as legal requirements

change. When we do, we will:

- Update the "Last updated" date at the top

- Note material changes in the App's release notes for the next version

Continued use of the App after a material change indicates acceptance of

the updated policy.
