In short: your documents never leave your phone. No account is required and we do not collect your personal data. Only the ads (Google AdMob) may collect some device data to show and measure ads.
Quick PDF Converter (package com.byyobo.quickpdfconverter) is a free app developed and published by Youssef Bouaouam (BY.YOBO), an independent developer based in Casablanca, Morocco, who is the data controller for this app. Contact: youssfimalak21@gmail.com
The app converts files: PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, Word to PDF and Excel to PDF.
All conversions happen only on your device. Your documents and their content are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see them.
Converted files are saved in the app's private storage. You can delete them at any time from "My files"; uninstalling the app deletes them all.
A password you type to open a protected PDF is used only on the device to open that file; it is never saved or sent anywhere.
When you "share" a file, you choose the destination app (WhatsApp, email…), whose own policy then applies.
The app does not ask for access to all your files or photos. You pick the file to convert with Android's system file picker, so the app can only access that file. Permissions used:
Internet and network state: to show ads and check the connection.
Advertising ID (AD_ID): used by Google AdMob to show and measure ads.
We do not ask for an account, name, email address or phone number; we do not collect any personal data ourselves and use no analytics or tracking tools of our own. Your settings (language, theme, acceptance of terms) and the list of your converted files are stored only on your phone.
The app is free thanks to ads served by Google AdMob: banner, interstitial, rewarded (optional, for large files), app-open and native ads.
To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect: your device's advertising ID, IP address (approximate location), device and system information, ad interactions and ad-related diagnostics. This data is encrypted in transit, and Google acts as an independent controller. Details: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form (UMP), certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, appears on first launch and lets you accept or refuse personalised ads. Personalised ads rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); non-personalised ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Google → Ads). Refusing does not prevent you from using the app.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and withdrawal of consent under Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and, for European users, under the GDPR. As we do not store your personal data, requests about advertising data are handled by Google (myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy); we will help you if you contact us. You may also complain to your data-protection authority (in Morocco: the CNDP).
Google may process advertising data outside your country, including in the United States, with safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We keep no data on servers; your files stay on your phone until you delete them, and Google keeps its data according to its own policy.
The app needs an internet connection to show the ads that fund it. Your documents are still never sent over the internet: conversion always happens on your device.
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where the law requires it), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will help remove it.
We may update this policy when features are added or laws change. The new version will be published, with its date, on this page and in the app.
