Privacy Policy for QuietCam
Last updated: April 2, 2026
Pawel Chmiel ("we", "our", or "us") operates the QuietCam mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Media Files
The App captures photos, videos, and audio recordings. When you use the Private Gallery feature, all media is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. When you choose to save to the system Photos library, media is handled by Apple's Photos framework on your device.
1.2 Purchase Information
If you purchase QuietCam Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data from Apple. We do not collect your name, email, payment card details, or Apple ID.
1.3 No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
2. How We Use Information
We use purchase receipt data solely to verify your subscription status and unlock Pro features. We do not use your information for any other purpose.
3. Data Storage and Security
All media files (photos, videos, audio) are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat's secure infrastructure. For details on how RevenueCat handles data, see their privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- RevenueCat: for subscription management. RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase data only.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not have access to your media files.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
Since all media is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data. You can delete any recordings from within the App or by deleting the App itself. To manage your subscription, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
