QuickRecap（日本語名：すぐまとめ。以下「本拡張機能」）は、YouTube の動画の要約を表示する Chrome 拡張機能です。本拡張機能の取り扱う情報について、以下のとおり定めます。
1. 開発者が収集する情報
開発者は、利用者の個人情報・閲覧履歴・利用状況などの情報を一切収集しません。本拡張機能には、開発者のサーバーへ情報を送る仕組み、アクセス解析、広告は含まれていません。
2. 本拡張機能が扱う情報と送信先
要約を作るため、本拡張機能は次の情報を扱います。
・情報 ／ 用途 ／ 送信先
・表示中の YouTube 動画の字幕・タイトル ／ 要約の作成 ／ 利用者が選んだAIのみ（下記）
・利用者が入力した質問 ／ 質問への回答 ／ 利用者が選んだAIのみ（下記）
送信先は、利用者が設定で選んだAIエンジンによって決まります。
- Chrome 内蔵AI：パソコンの中で処理され、外部には送信されません。
- Google Gemini API：利用者自身のAPIキーを使って Google に送信されます。送信された情報の扱いは Google の利用規約・プライバシーポリシー（https://policies.google.com/privacy） および Gemini API 追加利用規約（https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms） に従います。無料枠を利用する場合、Google が製品改善のために内容を利用することがあります。
3. 利用者のパソコンに保存する情報
次の情報は、利用者の Chrome の中（chrome.storage）にのみ保存され、開発者には送信されません。
- 設定（AIエンジン、要約の言語、モデル、APIキーなど）
- 作成済みの要約（同じ動画を再度要約しないためのもの。最大200件で古いものから削除）
拡張機能を削除すると、これらの情報も削除されます。
4. 第三者への提供
開発者は利用者の情報を保有していないため、第三者に販売・提供することはありません。
5. 改定
本ポリシーを変更する場合は、このページで告知します。

QuickRecap ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that shows summaries of YouTube videos. This policy explains how it handles information.
1. Information collected by the developer
The developer does not collect any personal information, browsing history or usage data. The extension contains no developer servers, analytics or advertising.
2. Information the extension handles and where it goes
To create summaries, the extension handles:
・Information ／ Purpose ／ Sent to
・Captions and title of the YouTube video being viewed ／ Creating the summary ／ Only the AI the user selects (below)
・Questions typed by the user ／ Answering them ／ Only the AI the user selects (below)
Where it goes depends on the AI engine selected in settings:
- Chrome built-in AI: processed on the user's computer; nothing is sent out.
- Google Gemini API: sent to Google using the user's own API key, and handled under Google's Privacy Policy（https://policies.google.com/privacy） and the Gemini API Additional Terms（https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms）. On the free tier, Google may use the content to improve its products.
3. Information stored on the user's computer
The following is stored only in the user's Chrome (chrome.storage) and is never sent to the developer:
- Settings (AI engine, summary language, model, API key, etc.)
- Finished summaries, so a video is not summarized twice (up to 200, oldest removed first)
Removing the extension deletes this information.
4. Sharing with third parties
The developer holds no user data and therefore never sells or shares it.
5. Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
