How to Install QuickBooks Desktop 2015
QuickBooks Desktop is a popular accounting software that helps you manage your business finances. If you have purchased QuickBooks Desktop 2015, you need to install it on your computer before you can use it. Step 1: Download the installer
The first thing you need to do is to download the installer for your version of QuickBooks Desktop 2015. You can get the download link from the Downloads & Updates page on the QuickBooks website. You will need to enter your product and license number to access the download link. You can find these numbers on the original package or in the purchase confirmation email. If you are a ProAdvisor or an accountant, you can log into your QuickBooks ProAdvisor Center or CAMPS to download your software. Save the file somewhere you can find it easily, such as your desktop.
Step 2: Install QuickBooks Desktop
Once you have downloaded the installer, you can follow these steps to install QuickBooks Desktop 2015 on your computer:
Open the file QuickBooks.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.
Accept the software license agreement and then select Next.
Enter your product and license numbers and then select Next.
Decide which install path is right for you. You have two options when you install QuickBooks: Express or Custom and Network.
Express install
We recommend this option if you are:
A first-time user.
Reinstalling QuickBooks.
Going to use QuickBooks on one computer (not as part of a network of computers).
To do an express install:
Select Express and then Next.
Select Install.
When it finishes, select Open QuickBooks.
Custom and Network install
We recommend this option if you:
Want to install QuickBooks somewhere other than the default location (such as on a server).
Host your company files on a server.
Need to share your company files with other users on a network.
To do a custom and network install:
Select Custom and Network Options and then Next.
Select where you will use QuickBooks.
Select Change the install location and then Next.
Select Browse to decide where to put your folder. Then select Next.
Select Install.
When it finishes, select Open QuickBooks.
