Privacy policy

Date of Last Revision: 09-Feb-17

Quick Lock ("Quick Lock" or "we" or "us" or "our") is a mini tool that helps you to lock your screen or access some settings in a faster, convenient way. Because some info required some special permissions, we needed a Privacy Policy in place.

We take our users ("users" or "you" or "your") privacy seriously and are committed to protecting even the very little information we collect. Please have no worry.

1. What type of information does Quick Lock collect?

a. Device Administrator permission. We need this permission to be able to lock your screen with just one touch. For instance, lock your screen by clicking on an item in floating button, app shortcut, or notification..., somehow this will help you protect your power button a little bit more. Then we need your approval to access permission on your devices.

b. Write settings permission. The Quick Lock app might need this permission to help users quickly toggle some settings on the device (such as wifi, bluetooth, brightness...) by clicking on some buttons/menus. Then we need your approval to modify some settings on your devices based on your usage.

c. Draw Over Other Apps permission. Quick Lock has a new feature - The floating button - which will display a floating icon on your screen and over other apps (just like Facebook Chat Head or Assistive Touch on iOS). Using it, users can do their stuffs faster.

2. How does Quick Lock use information?

a. User Provided Information. This information is totally for internal use, we only get them and show them on screen, nothing else. NO suspicious actions, NO background collector... NOT at all.

b. Non-Personally Identifiable Information. The Quick Lock app may send any crash reports our way so we can review and hopefully fix any nagging issues. We analyze this non-personally identifying information to help build a better Quick Lock app with any and all future updates.

3. Third-Party Advertisers

Hooray! We have NO ads at all.

4. Disclosures of Information

We do not rent, sell or share your personally identifiable information with anyone. It's that simple.

Quick Lock may disclose your information to third parties when obligated to do so by law and in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected, or actual prohibited activities, including but not limited to fraud and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person. We reserve the right to disclose aggregated, non-personally identifiable information collected to third parties for any purpose.

5. Privacy Policy Changes

We may, in our sole discretion, change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any and all changes to Backdrop's Privacy Policy will be reflected here and the date new versions are posted will be stated at the top of this Privacy Policy.

6. Security

We take security of your information seriously and use reasonable electronic, personnel, and physical measures to protect it from loss, theft, alteration, or misuse. However, please be advised that even the best security measures cannot fully eliminate all risks. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information. We are not responsible for third party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.
