This Privacy Policy explains how QR Scanner accesses, processes, stores, uses, protects, and, where applicable, shares information when you use the Application.
QR Scanner is a utility application that allows users to scan QR codes and barcodes, scan codes from selected images, generate codes, maintain an optional scan history, save associated images, import or export backups, and share content at the user’s direction.
By downloading, installing, or using QR Scanner, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2.2 Camera Images
When you use live camera scanning, QR Scanner processes camera frames to identify QR codes and supported barcodes.
The Application may also save an optional image associated with a successful scan for later reference in scan history.
Camera frames are processed locally on your device and are not automatically uploaded to S2 Developer.

QR Scanner may store the following information locally:

4. Local Storage and On-Device Processing

Locally stored information may include:
Scan history.
Scanned content.
Code type.
Scan date and time.
Optional images associated with scans.
Application preferences.
Temporary files created for sharing.
Local recovery files used to protect scan history against interrupted storage operations.

QR Scanner disables the standard Android automatic backup mechanism for its private Application data.
This restriction does not apply to files that you voluntarily export, save, or share outside the Application’s private storage area.
The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of your device. You are responsible for protecting your device against unauthorized access.
5. Permissions and Device Access
QR Scanner may use the following permissions and device features:
Camera
Camera access is used to:
Display a live camera preview.
Detect QR codes and barcodes.
Capture an optional image associated with a successful scan.
Camera access is optional.
If camera permission is denied or revoked, live camera scanning will not function. Other features that do not require the camera may remain available.

Vibration access is used to provide optional feedback after a successful scan.
This permission does not provide access to personal content.

Call logs.
SMS messages.
Full photo library.
Advertising identifiers.
QR Scanner does not request Internet permission.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 On-Device Barcode Processing
QR Scanner uses the ZXing open-source library to recognize and generate QR codes and barcodes.
Recognition and generation are performed locally on the device.
The library is not used to upload camera frames, selected images, scanned content, or generated content to an online recognition service.
6.2 External Applications
At your direction, QR Scanner may open or transfer content to an external application, including:
Web browser.
Email application.
Telephone application.
Messaging application.
Map application.
File manager.
Image viewer.
Sharing application.
Other compatible applications installed on your device.

The email provider you select may process:
Your email address.
The recipient address.
Message content.
Technical information included in the message.
Other information processed by the email provider.
The email provider operates independently under its own privacy policy.

Comply with applicable law.
Respond to a valid legal process.
Protect the rights, property, or safety of users, S2 Developer, or others.
Investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents.

Locally stored information remains on your device until:
You delete an individual history item.
You clear all scan history.

Clearing Application data or uninstalling QR Scanner may not delete exported files.
You are responsible for managing, protecting, and deleting these files.
8.3 Imported Files
When you import a compatible backup, QR Scanner reads the backup selected by you and may restore scan history and associated images into the Application’s private storage.
The original backup file remains at its existing location unless you delete it separately.
8.4 Temporary Sharing Files
QR Scanner may create a temporary image in its cache when you share a generated code.
The file is provided to the application selected by you through Android’s secure file-sharing mechanism.
Temporary cache files may be removed automatically during later Application use or by the Android operating system.

Feedback and support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Respond to your request.
Investigate or resolve a technical issue.
Maintain an appropriate support history.
Protect legal rights.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
You may request deletion of a support communication by contacting S2 Developer.
We will evaluate and process the request where reasonably possible and legally permitted.

S2 Developer applies reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of QR Scanner, including:
Processing codes locally on the device.
Storing scan history and associated images in the Application’s private storage area.
Limiting permissions to those necessary for Application functionality.

11. Children’s Privacy
QR Scanner is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children.
QR Scanner does not ask users to provide their age and does not use Application information to profile children or deliver behavioral advertising.
Parents and legal guardians should supervise a child’s use of the device camera, scanning features, clipboard, exported files, and external sharing features where appropriate.
If we learn that a child has submitted personal information directly to S2 Developer through a support communication without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information where legally required and technically possible.
