13. QUEER COMPASS-SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES

In Short: We use Firebase for push notifications and Resend for internal alert emails, and we collect a verification selfie if you choose to get a Photo Verified badge.

Push notifications. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to deliver push notifications to your device. Firebase receives a device token used only to route notifications to you.

Admin alert emails. When you file a report or submit a photo for verification, we use Resend to send an internal alert email to our team so it can be reviewed. Resend only receives what is needed for that alert, such as names and report or verification details.

Photo verification. If you choose to verify your account, you submit a live selfie taken with your camera. It is used only to confirm you are a real person and match your profile, is visible only to you and the Queer Compass team, and is deleted along with the rest of your account if you delete it.
