By downloading or using Queer Compass, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Queer Compass is a social travel app that helps LGBTQ+ people connect with locals and travelers to explore, meet for coffee, adventures, friendship and more — anywhere in the world.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Queer Compass. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be under 18.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your profile.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
You agree NOT to use Queer Compass to:
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that demeans any individual or group
Impersonate another person or create a fake profile
Advertise or sell goods and services
Sell or transfer your account or profile to another person
Post illegal content or content that violates the rights of others
Spam other users through the messaging system
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
You retain ownership of the content you post on Queer Compass, including photos, posts, and messages. By posting content, you grant Queer Compass a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the app. You are solely responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
Queer Compass facilitates connections between users but is not responsible for in-person meetings or interactions. Users meet at their own risk. We strongly encourage users to exercise caution when meeting people in person and to meet in public places.
Your use of Queer Compass is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through Settings.
Queer Compass is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times or free from errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Queer Compass shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (which, as a free app, is $0).
All content, design, trademarks, logos, and features of Queer Compass (excluding user-generated content) are the exclusive property of Queer Compass and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes the Queer Compass name, logo, app design, user interface, and underlying concept. Without our prior written permission, you may not: copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on our app, branding, logo, or name; use the Queer Compass name, logo, or trademarks in connection with any other product or service; scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app; or create a competing app or service that copies our concept, design, or branding. Violating this section may result in legal action.
If you believe any content on Queer Compass infringes your copyright, please contact us at queercompassapp@gmail.com. We will investigate and take appropriate action.
Any disputes arising from these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Florida, United States.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a substantive change, we'll show a notice in the app the next time you open it. Security updates and bug fixes may take effect immediately. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
